    Jackrabbit Slim is the second album by singer-songwriter Steve Forbert, released in 1979.[1] It includes his biggest hit single, "Romeo's Tune", which peaked at No.

    11 on the Billboard singles chart.[2] The album rose to No. 20 on the Billboard albums chart.[3] First pressings included a bonus one-sided 7-inch single of "The Oil Song".

    Critical reception

    The New York Times wrote that the album "fits Mr. Forbert's huskily insinuating folk-rock tenor into a confident, slightly slick country-rock backing."[7]
