Sonu Nigam is one of the most celebrated musicians in the Indian music industry.
He sings in Hindi and Kannada, has sung over 4000 songs in different languages, and has also acted in some Hindi films.
His hometown is Faridabad, Haryana where he was born.

He always loved to sing and started singing when he was only 4 years old, and his first official song on stage was the beautiful song “Kya hua tera waada” which solidified his talent and passion for singing after which he began to accompany his father to weddings and functions.
Sonu Nigam began his singing career when he was 19 years old after moving to Mumbai with his father. His teacher was the singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.
He has won many awards for his singing such as the Film Fare Award and the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2009 for his contribution to the Indian music industry.
